Bill Mastre makes mixed media works from domestic debris, toy logic, anxious repetition, stamped language, and objects that seem to know too much.
His work uses found materials, altered objects, paintings, sigils, and psychologically weird domestic sculpture to build a world where school rules, food, storage, toys, and old commercial language behave like evidence.
41st Grade is the larger project-world: a classroom after the lesson went wrong, an archive of ordinary objects that kept the score, and a place where the familiar starts acting like it remembers you.
Bill Mastre lives and works in Colorado.
